YUMMY japanese food, reasonably priced, and super friendly workers.

Fresh and delicious sushi and sashimi. The service was awesome. Busy parking lot but worth the effort!

Good service, great food. I liked the butterfish. I think it's worth the extra dollar.

Food is pretty good. Butterfish was good but not remarkable. NY Steak was very good, teri sauce was just right and meat was super tender. Ume shiso maki was good but very strong. Parking lot seems to be perpetually full.

The food here was good. I ordered the chirashi and it came with a good variety of quality fish. There was a bit too much rice and the shrimp was average. We also ordered a few of their rolls, spicy ahi and spicy salmon, and they were good as well. The sukiyaki was a good value and was full of vegetables and tofu and mushroom. Good if you’re already in the area.

The food was good, but tonight this place was very busy. So the service was slow.

Great choices of Japanese food. Service is really fast. Parking may get busy since the place is surrounded by other restaurants. I recommend you to try their combination plate.

A little hole in the wall restaurant in Kalihi.It's a favorite of locals and seniors. Great food at reasonable prices. The fish is fresh and the meals are cooked to order.The service is good and the l ladies efficient. This is one of our go to spots.

This was my first time there and the food was excellent, prices were really good. I don't think there was anything on the menu more than twenty dollars. The workers were really nice, I would have to say that I would definitely go back. Just one thing the parking kinda sucked. And we did have a large group and that was no a problem for the restaurant.

This place is honestly the best restaurant in the tri-state area and if you don’t go here you’re on crack.

Freshly fried ebi tempura and udon with Kansai style soup were excellent and so was their services with big smiles. Sashimi was also good. Sushi rice could be better and less in volume but the combo menus come with a cup of tea, water, tsukidashi, Korean salad, rice, & miso soup for about $15. What a bargain in Honolulu! As a native Japanese I’d recommend this shokudo restaurant.
